So who invented the iPod?
I finally did it. I created a website with the goal of taking out a long-tail keyword search. What on earth am I talking about? Great question.
Every day, a bunch of people around the world go to Google and type in, “Who invented the ipod“, and then look for the answer. I’m not sure why they are searching for the information — I’ll be putting a poll up soon. Anyway, the first three articles are completely off-the-wall and are unhelpful. I put a website together that answers the question, and am now marketing it. The entire business plan for this site, unlike all of my others, is for the readers to click on the ads. They’ll get their answer in about 15 seconds, meaning there’s no potential for a long-term business relationship, unless I want to get into the ipod FAQ business.
In two months, I’ll report back with a detailed tutorial for how I achieved success with the website. My goal is to make $20 per day with this site, specifically.

who-invented-the-ipod.com is #10 on a Google search for who invented the ipod and #5 for “who invented the ipod”. =D

wahahahahaaaa!!! Oh my goodness! I’m sorry, for some reason I find that cite hilarious. Especially the “reasons you should get an iPod” page. It makes you look cool… don’t know why. lololol!!

I’d love to see the outcome of this experiment. Did you reach your goal of $20 a day. The link to the wesbhsite isn’t working though.

I only recently picked up the ipad, havent dug through it to determine all of the ins and outs but from what I can see its a fairly decent little piece of technology.

It will probably realise. There’s something called machine learning, a branch of AI where computers are "taught" to analyse various situations in their environment and come up with a conclusion. It may work for some time but the search engine will finally learn that something’s fishy.
