		<description>They needed you and you might have had the means to help them, but you chose not to.  Sorry, but this doesn&#039;t add up.  If you&#039;re always looking for something in return, you&#039;re never going to be satisfied.  Give and give freely, without any expectation for anything in return!  The human shelter, though, is actually doing a lot for you that you might not realize.  They shelter the animals that would otherwise be roaming the streets, digging in your garbage, coming up to you begging for food (which you would most likely give them without any expectation for anything in return).  When we give freely, we get the satisfaction of knowing we&#039;ve done the right thing and that should be enough.  Sadly, it&#039;s not for most people.  We are constantly shortchanging one another and looking for something in return.  If you have the means to give, give.  Don&#039;t expect that you should get anything back from it!!!  What you&#039;re getting back is a feeling of having done the right thing, which, to me, is worth far more than any monetary donation.</description>
