I hope you didn’t find my comment too rude, Mr. Escobar. I know opposition to abortion and dating is a very serious issue.

However, I am a little frustrated with a simplistic mentality presented through some lines. The problem with “doing the right thing” is that the right thing isn’t always as obvious as it seems. I personally am largely pro-choice and pro-dating, and think that my decisions are grounded in sound reason and ethics, and am a little sick of the us vs. them rhetoric.

I’m also interested in understanding the context of the other comment about “stop(ping) the heathen practice of dating.” I know it’s a sensitive issue. And we may have struck a nerve with a reader. But I do sincerely want to know more about the reasons behind the comment. I have two teenage boys, so this issue is right at my front door.
